Welcome, traveler. This Privacy Policy explains how OneWaySync (“the App”) handles your information.

Summary

• No data collection: The App does not collect, store, sell, or share personal data.
• No tracking: The App does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or trackers.
• No servers: The App does not send your data to any external servers operated by us.
• Your files stay yours: Files are copied only to folders you choose, on devices you control. We never see them.

Folder Access

The App reads the source folders you select and writes to the destination folders you select — nothing else. Access is granted by you through standard macOS open panels and drag & drop, and is remembered only on your Mac.

Photos and Music Library Access

If you choose to connect your Photos library or your Music library, the App asks macOS for read-only access at that moment — never at launch. This access is used exclusively to copy your photos, videos and music to the destination folders you select. Your libraries are never modified, and their contents are never transmitted to us or to any third party by the App. You can revoke this access at any time in System Settings > Privacy & Security.

Information We Collect

None. We do not collect any personal information or app usage data. We do not request account registration, and we do not maintain user profiles.

How the App Uses Your Data

All processing happens locally on your Mac. Files are read from the sources you choose and written to the destinations you choose. Optional log files are stored locally on your Mac only.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Network Access

The App does not transmit your personal data to us. Network access is used only for standard Apple system services, governed by Apple’s own privacy policy and your device settings:

• If your Photos library uses iCloud Photos with “Optimize Mac Storage”, macOS downloads originals from iCloud as they are copied.
• If you use the Country or City naming options or filters for photos, photo location coordinates are converted to place names by Apple’s geocoding service. We never receive this data.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Data Retention

Because we do not collect data, we do not retain personal data.

Your Choices

You can revoke the App’s library access at any time in System Settings, and you can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Files previously copied to your destination folders remain under your control.

Changes to This Policy

If we change the App to collect data in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before doing so and provide any additional notices required by law.
